First off, thanks for the excellent, quick service. I had two of my racquetball racquets strung by Eric. He came right to my door and was done in just over an hour. I highly recommend Eric for your stringing needs.

I typically look for convenience, knowledge, and someone who has some experience. Eric has all of those, and on top of that, he's a super nice guy. One afternoon, my buddy and I had a match about an hour or so out. We both needed our sticks strung so we gave Eric a call and he drove about 30 minutes to the site of the match and strung our racquets just in time for the match. He did a great job stringing as well!

"I used to string in Omega sports or sports authority. But after learned from my friend about Eric / On the ball racquet stringing; I decided to give it a try. I can't say enough how much happier that I am with Eric's professional job. The string he puts on just feels better; plays better and lasts longer. He actually will recommend a best type of string that suits you the best and a good tension suits your play style. Moreover, Eric will place an electronically treaceable label on your racquet so that you could find out all the technical details about the string you are paying for. There's no comparison between those batch stringing shop with On The Ball Racquet Stringing. So I am extremely satisfied. Two thumbs up!"

Q: What are the differences and advantages of two-piece stringing compared to one-piece stringing?

A: One obvious advantage of two-piece stringing is that is the only possible way to use hybrid sets of string, that is, those with one type of string for the mains (such as Kevlar or polyester), and another for the crosses (such as gut or nylon). Aside from this special circumstance, two-piece stringing offers other advantages. First, on racquets where the mains finish at the throat, it usually creates less stress in the frame, because you can start the crosses at the head in a two-piece pattern, so you are working toward the stronger part of the hoop as the pressure builds on the frame as the result of installing the crosses. Second, you are working with two shorter pieces of string, rather than one longer piece of string, which can reduce tangles and wear-and-tear on the string. However, a two-piece job has four knots, which means twice as many knots to tie, and four knots don’t look as neat as the two knots of a one-piece string job. Also, with four tie-off knots, you have twice as many strings that can be at a lower tension. Two-piece stringing (except in the case of hybrid string sets) also mean more measuring and, if you are working with reels, more wasted string.
